The Bullish and the Gossimer was taken as the superbloom summer of 2020 on the Door County peninsula of Wisconsin gave way to a most spectacular Autumn. Bull Thistle entwined with sweet clover spotted on the roadside.
The image was taken in the field and is a natural, no-cut vignette, no thistles were harmed in the making of this photograph, but the photographer left with more than a few prickles.
